“Trauma Creates Changes You Don’t Choose… Healing Is About Creating Change You Do Choose“

PRE/POST-OPERATIVE CARE

Surgery is scary. No matter how you look at it. While we as physical therapists do our best to prevent surgery, it is required when conservative treatment fails. Psyching yourself up to go through a planned trauma is never easy, even when you are in pain. Knowing more pain will follow along with a lot of hard work and time laid up makes it especially important to prepare yourself and your support network. This is where our team can be called into action.

More About Pre / Post Surgical

Our trained professionals understand the preparation, education, and timelines needed for successful recovery. We know the importance of battling burnout with uplifting attitudes and frequent, small goals set to allow you to stay on track. While we encourage all our surgical patients to get pre-operative physical therapy to make the journey easier, this is not always possible. Therefore, it is common practice for us to communicate with your surgeon to assure a thorough understanding of the procedure is gained and milestones are set to restore optimal function. We also understand sometimes it’s necessary to make a complete recovery without compensations that can lead to future dysfunction, poor performance, and injury.
