Circulatory/Swedish massage can be performed at varying degrees of depth to the body, please speak with your therapist about what you prefer.
Deep tissue massage uses a series of deep compressions and targeted pressure to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia along with the matrix web. This work can facilitate the release of chronic pain and muscle tension. It can aide in injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by a variety of ailments. Although the name suggests a very deep massage, there are still a variety of depths that can be reached, so please speak with your therapist about what you prefer.
Neuromuscular therapy focuses on promoting balance of the body’s central nervous system (CNS) with the musculoskeletal system. The CNS initiates and maintains pain. The goal is to relieve pain and biomechanical dysfunction through treating the underlying cause whether that be muscle spasms, trigger points, tissue hypercontraction, restricted matrix, or decreased venous or lymphatic flow. Typically, neuromuscular therapy is used in conjunction with other modalities to obtain the desired effects.

Based on the work of Dr. Ida Rolf, structural integration is based on the idea that the entire structural order of the body needs to be realigned and balanced with the gravitational forces around a central vertical line representing gravity’s influence. With a focus on the myofascial system (ligaments, muscles, tendons, and connective tissue), a ten-session cycle is performed to stretch and guide fascia to a place of easier movement in order to create a more resilient, higher-energy system, free of inhibitions.
Thai massage has been in practice for over 2,500 years originating under Buddha’s personal physician, Shivago Komarpaj. Based on the theory that the body is made up of 72,000 sen, or energy lines, of which ten hold top priority, Thai massage uses peripheral stimulation to produce specific internal effects. Thai massage is performed on a firm mat on the floor, although some adaptations can be made for table work. This practice has often been compared to passive yoga for the client. The practitioner uses his or her own body weight to stretch the client while performing compressions throughout the session. Thai massage is practiced fully clothed except for the feet, so draping is not necessary.
Also known as seated massage, chair massage is performed on a specially designed massage chair fully clothed. Various massage modalities can be practiced in this position and is a great alternative for clients that are uncomfortable receiving massage on a table and/or disrobing. The ease of setting up for chair massage allows bodywork to be done on-site and in public settings.
