Dr. Sheri Dang, DACM, L.Ac., is a San Diego board-certified and licensed doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Born in Illinois, but raised in Arizona, Sheri studied Biology at Arizona State University, then moved to San Diego to continue her education at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine by completing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She completed two years of onsite and offsite clinical internships including UCSD Senior Citizens Outreach Program, UCSD Integrative Cancer Clinic, Rady Children’s Hospital, and UCSD RIMAC Sports Center, where she treated a wide variety of ailments from all walks of life. She practices the modalities of acupuncture, moxabustion, cupping, gua sha, tui na, and administers Chinese herbs, vitamins, supplements, food therapy, and light mental/physical exercises to heal and strengthen her patients. Having worked in a pharmacy for over 10 years, she understands the tendency for patients to seek a bottle of pills to solve their daily ailments, aches, and pains. She offers a more comprehensive approach to treatment with a focus on addressing your total health. She looks forward to welcoming you to a better way of living.
To be joining the talented team of professionals at Catalyst is beyond exciting for Sheri. She understands the benefits of physical therapy, and with the inclusion of acupuncture, it leads to better outcomes than using only one method alone.
“When I am not in the clinic, I am most likely out rock climbing, petting animals, or reading. Currently in the middle of Emperor of All Maladies, which is so good. Is there a book I must read? Let me know!”
